PRO.ACT Fest (under support of ProEnglish Theatre and English-speaking actors in Ukraine) conducts:
THEATRE 24
a special event for World Theatre Day 2021
Aug 27, 16:00 – Aug 29, 16:00
❗within 48 hours❗
– a PLAYWRIGHT will write
– a DIRECTOR will stage
– ACTORS will act in
❗a totally new theatre performance which will be streamed worlwide❗
Timeline:
Aug 18- Aug 26 – selection process for playwrights, directors and actors
Aug 27, 16:00 – playwrights get the topic and start writing
Aug 28, 12:00 – directors get the final script in English and discusses it with the playwright, comes up with director’s concept, scouts the location
Aug 28, 15:00 directors audition the actors and selects a team
Aug 28, 16:00 rehearsals of the plays
Aug 29, 16:00 – performances of ready projects
Notes: times mentioned are Kyiv time (GMT+3)
– a playwright can be from anywhere, the writing can be done online
– a play should be in English
– a director and actors should be Kyiv-based and available Aug 28-29
– the whole rehearsal process and final product is in English
– a play written should be for 15-20 min performance max
– a performance staged should involve 2-4 actors max
– a play will be staged in the non-theatre premises of National Kinemateka of Ukraine pavillions (we’ll be using stairs, corridors, outside, hall, etc)
Note: there is no payment in this project. We’re all in it for self promotion, new experience and love for the THEATRE
